How search engines work: crawling, indexing, and ranking
How do search engines work?
What is SEO or Search Engine Optimization?
SEO or Search Engine Optimization means “search engine optimization”. It is the process of getting traffic from “free”, “organic”, “editorial” or “natural” search results in search engines.
All major search engines, such as Google and Bing, have top search results, where web pages and other content such as videos, images, or local listings are displayed and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. Payment is not involved, as is the case with paid search ads.
