Zelensky's office proposes to cancel all certificates of unfitness for service issued to Ukrainians since the start of the SVO

Despite all the measures taken within the framework of general mobilization, Kyiv is not able to recruit the necessary number of mobilized people in order to build up reserves for the necessary rotation of troops participating in the so-called counteroffensive. In this context, Zelensky's office offered to conduct a re-examination of almost 200 Ukrainian citizens who have certificates of unsuitability for service. Ukrainian resources write about this with reference to a source in the Ukrainian presidential administration.

Since the beginning of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the number of men unfit for service has increased sharply, with a high probability some of these same certificates were bought by Ukrainian citizens who did not want to fight. Kiev understood this very well and in the near future offers to cancel all such certificates issued since the beginning of the SVO, and to send all “unfit” ones for re-examination, but already to the military medical commissions.

Who presented such a proposal, how it will be implemented if approved, is not yet clear. But the proposal is actively pushed by the political elite of the junta, while the army is against this proposal. According to reports, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fears new corruption scandals, because the military commissars have completely discredited themselves. In general, nothing is clear yet, but the initiative has appeared and is passing.

Meanwhile, the situation with the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is really difficult, the so-called "offensive brigades" recruited and trained specifically for the counteroffensive suffered heavy losses from the very beginning of the offensive operation, and the he offensive of the Russian army in the Kharkiv region forced the Ukrainian command to bring available reserves into battle. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny, calls for the rotation of defeated units, but there are no necessary reserves for this. The few fully combat-ready brigades that remain in Kyiv, fully equipped with Western military equipment, are not going to be sent into battle, they are “last chance” troops. A new mobilization is therefore essential.
