Elementor Pro Review

What is Elementor?

Elementor has a professional and free website builder plugin for WordPress. Essentially, it gives you a drag-and-drop interface for WordPress, making your work process similar to what you get with popular website builders like Wix or Squarespace. elementor pro review info gives you the main idea.

You can choose a ready-to-use template or create your own feature-rich site with elements that you can place wherever you want, no coding skills required.

Once you install Elementor Pro:

You can create new pages or a new site with any style, layout, or functionality you need. You are not limited to what your current WordPress theme offers.
You can keep your theme current as Elementor works with all WordPress themes (as long as you have WordPress version 5.0 or higher).

You get a completely independent (and much more intuitive) editor to work with. You won't have to use the native WordPress editing interface.

You'll be editing your pages or site from the interface, which means you'll see exactly what your visitors see in their browser, without the need to constantly save drafts and preview.
Sure, there are other builders that offer similar features, but they generally have one major drawback: they either have amazing editing features but there isn't a free plan, or they have a free plan but with far fewer templates (which they don't). it doesn't look so good either).

Elementor really sets you pro or free, in more ways than one. Let's take a closer look at what it allows you to do.

300+ ready-to-use templates
As a professional designer, I approve of Elementor templates. Even if you don't have an eye for design, they make it easy for you to create attractive, professional-looking websites. There are two types of templates: full-length page templates (called Pages) and smaller individual elements (called Blocks).

Use a page
The easiest way to get started with Elementor is to use a pre-designed template. Elementor has over 150, with around 40 of them available for free. (It's annoying that you can't filter for "free" and instead have to manually check the little "Pro" tag in the corner of each template.)

We were one of the first sites to write an Elementor review. More than four years have passed since then. And in those more than four years, we've seen them experience incredible growth. Not only have they gone from zero to over 700,000 active installs (our 2018 update) to over five million installs (our 2020 update), but we've also seen the team continue to release tons of great new features at a rate Quick.

Because Elementor has released so many new features, we decided that we needed to update our review again. We originally released it in 2016. Then we update it in 2018. Then we update it again in May 2020 ... and now we come back in October 2020 to update it again as they just released version 3.0! It would be great if the folks at Elementor could slow down so I could take some time off, but it's amazing to you that Elementor keeps releasing new useful features at this rate.

In our review, we will cover all the important features like:

Theme builder
Dynamic content
Popup Generator
WooCommerce Builder
Basically, if Elementor released the feature before October 2020, we will cover it in this review.

What does this plugin do?

At its core, Elementor is still a WordPress page builder.

If you're not familiar with that terminology, it just means that Elementor helps you build your content and website using simple drag and drop controls and a live visual preview of your website, rather than having to fiddle with the underlying code. . Again you:

Build your page like Legos. Just drag and drop different "elements" together to create a design.
You don't need to know any code.
See exactly what your visitors will see, making it easy to know exactly what your finished design looks like.
Most non-developers love page builder plugins because they allow you to create more stylish content without the need to learn HTML / CSS. You can even import pre-made templates that have already done much of the work for you.

Elementor's main page builder is 100% free. On its own, you can already create some stellar pages with just the free version.

However, if you buy the Pro plugin, you will also have access to:

  • Theme Creation - Create your header, footer, archive pages, individual pages, and more with the same drag-and-drop interface.
  • Dynamic content - You can insert dynamic content from custom fields into your layouts.
  • Pop-up creator - You can design flexible pop-up windows and display them on your site.
  • WooCommerce Builder - You can design your store's store and archive pages.
  • Global Fonts and Colors - This makes it easy to ensure a consistent site layout and to quickly make changes to the entire site.
  • More Elements - You get a lot of useful new elements to build your website.
  • Pro Templates - While the free version includes some free templates, most of the best templates are part of the Pro plugin.
  • Global widgets - These allow you to reuse the same widget on multiple pages and then edit that widget from one location.
  • Live Custom CSS - Easily add custom CSS right from the Elementor interface.

What is the benefit of using Elementor Pro?

Elementor helps you add advanced styling, layout, and design elements to your WordPress content without the need for you to know the code. In the new Elementor Pro version, you can even design your entire WordPress theme too without knowing any code.

On a more specific note, Elementor is a visual drag and drop page builder plugin. There are two parts to that description, so let's look at each one.

Visual means that when you design your content, you see exactly what your visitors will see. There is never any confusion about how your page will look once you publish it.
Drag and drop mean that you can move around various design elements, such as buttons, forms, or images, simply by dragging and dropping them. No code required!

An end result is a tool that helps you make your WordPress site look the way you want it to without the need to learn code (or hire a developer).

How the Elementor interface works

I'll start this Elementor review by giving you a basic overview of how the Elementor interface works. If you've played around with Elementor a bit already, you might want to skip straight to the next section of our Elementor review to see some more specific features.

Elementor Pro Website Builder Review

Rather than using the tools and templates included in WordPress, Elementor aims to help you create something different, showing you the result of your design as you assemble your page. This WordPress plugin requires no prior HTML or CSS coding knowledge and is easily combined with any WordPress theme. It includes useful browsers and menus, which makes it simple and easy to understand.

Like any plugin, Elementor is installed through your WordPress dashboard. Its interface is clean and easy to understand. When you create a new page, you now have the option to "Open with Elementor". The traditional WordPress tools are replaced by Elementor.

The front and the center are the two main buttons. A dark red + one ("add a new section") and a dark gray folder one ("add a new template").

These pages are made up of sections, within the sections there are columns and within those columns there are widgets.

Elementor has several widgets, elements, and settings to choose from, and you can choose from a predesigned page or start creating your own. The interface's drag and drop feature allows you to choose what you want from the left column and then drag it to any section of your web page.

Note that you cannot access any of Elementor's templates, be they pages or blocks, without setting up an account with them first. However, this process is free and easy: all they need from you is your email address and a password.
